Meet Shahwali Shayan, also known as Shah. In 2019, he founded Shahanigans to blend his passions for interactive design, art, and digital marketing, and time has flown since!
Shahanigans commenced its journey by constructing interactive and captivating experiences on social media using Augmented Reality filters. However, the expansion of AR has permeated numerous facets of marketing, ranging from packaging enhancements to location-based activations, showcasing its ever-evolving nature.
As both a graduate and now a guest lecturer at the Royal College of Arts MA in Digital Direction program, Shah's research centers around the narrative potential of interactive experiences employing cutting-edge technology. He expresses tremendous excitement about Web 3.0, finding the transition exceptionally captivating.

Hi, I’m Shahwali Shayan (or Shah for short)! I founded Shahanigans to merge my love of interactive design, art and digital marketing.
We started off by building interactive and engaging experiences on social media using Augmented Reality filters. But to help brands engage with their fans even more, we create NFTs and digital collectibles.
As a graduate from the Royal College of Art with an MA in Digital Direction, my research and projects are focused on how we can tell stories through interactive experiences using the latest technology. I am super excited about Web 3.0 and find this transition extremely fascinating. ”
